It’s only right that a day after our younger son arrives to stay with us for a month, that Lidl starts running the next entry in the award-winning (well, it should be) American Week series.
And so we went and paid a visit and, as D said, “We hit the jackpot!”
True dat: We found on the shelves – not just in the circulars – the grilled onions, mini-packets or ice cream and even steak fries.
D got the milk shakes and ice creams, large and small. We passed on the cheesecakes. Hmm, I wonder, should we go back?
Got the onion rings and the steak frites but not the Spanish corn.
I don’t know why, but D wanted the frozen chicken wrap.
Ask any American if they’ve seen hot dogs in a jar. They haven’t unless they’ve been to Lidl. And, of course, D bought a jar to celebrate. And a first! The onions were in stock!
Pancakes from bottle – perfect side dish for hot dogs from a jar. Plus sparkly muffins.
